The sixth-ranked Bullettes’ season came to an end Wednesday, February 13, at Mediapolis. Mepo lost to the Williamsburg Raiders(15-7) 66-60 in overtime in the regional semifinals. The Bullettes ended their season with a 21-2 record. Dave Pierson and Danny Davis call the action.

The sixth-ranked Bullettes won the opening round of the 3A Regional Girls’ Basketball Tournament defeating West Liberty 74-23 at Mediapolis on Saturday, February 9. Kim Scheitlin and Danny Davis call the action.

Bulldog Wrestling Vs. Mt. Pleasant. January 3, 2013- The third-ranked Bulldogs got their 13th dual win of the season defeating Mt. Pleasant 45-18. Dave Pierson and Coach Brian Borrison call the action.

Mediapolis Vs. WMU. January 15, 2013- Bullette legends Sheryl (Wischemier) Lonergran and her sister Barb Wischemier join Kent Harsbarger during this game between these two schools who were huge rivalries back when the sisters played for Mepo. We're sorry about the sound issues at the first. The sound starts getting better after the six minute mark.

Mediapolis vs. L-M. January 11, 2013- Legendary Bullette Deb Coates joins Kim Scheitlin for this special game. Listen as Deb not only does color, but also shares her memories of Mediapolis basketball.

Mediapolis Wrestling vs. Muscatine & Ft. Madison- Another great season is in store as Mediapolis remains dominant whoever they play. Dave Pieron and Brian Borrison call this thrilling action!

Mediapolis Boys/Girls Basketball vs. L-M- Friday, Nov. 30- Fifth ranked girls take down L-M an amazing 54-9! The Boys defeat the Falcons 52-36. Kim Scheitlin and Bill Schrock call the game.

Mediapolis Holiday Open House- Okay, it's not a sports broadcast but it sure was a fun day! All stores were open handing out Christmas treats, punch, coffee and hot chocolate. Santa made his way around town and it was a great time! This Dogcast includes Danny Davis, Lee Kerr, Bill Schrock, Betty Massner all visiting and interviewing people who stopped in to our office during the Holiday Open House. We had hoped to give our listeners a chance to see how we did the Dogcast and a chance to be interviewed. We did and it was fun! Enjoy!

Mediapolis Alumni Basketball Game- The Boosters hold their annual Alumni Game. Teams include Boys and girls. No winners and no losers- just good competitive basketball. Kim Scheitlin, Lee Kerr, Kent Harshbarger, Bill Schrock and Danny Davis call the game.

Mediapolis Football Vs. Bondurant- Third Round Playoffs- The Mediapolis football team will advance to the Class 2A semifinals to be held at the UNI-dome in Cedar Falls on Saturday, November 10, at 7:00 P.M. The Bulldogs earned the trip after crushing the Bondurant Blue Jays 48-14 in a quarterfinal game held at Mediapolis on Friday, November 2. Kent Harshbarger and Bill Schrock call this game.

Mediapolis Football Vs. Davis County- First Roud Playoffs- The Mediapolis football team cruised to a 56-0 victory in the opening round of playoffs on Wednesday, October 24. The Bulldogs racked up 436 yards in total offense at Archer Field and held Davis County to only 86 yards. Kent Harshbarger and Lee Kerr call the action

Mediapolis Football Vs. LM- For the second year in a row, the Mediapolis football team had a perfect 9-0 regular season record. The Bulldogs defeated L-M on Friday, October 19, at L-M High School 33-6 to keep their record spotless.The game begins at the 3:00 minute mark in the player. Mediapolis Football Vs. Columbus Wildcats- October 12: It was parents' night and the seniors put on a good show for Mom and Dad in thie 55-14 romping. Bill Schrock and Kent Harshbarger call the action. We're sorry. Sound related issues cause distortion in this Dogcast

Mediapolis Football Vs. Mid Prairie- October 5: What was supposed to be one of the their toughest competitors, Mid Prairie was anything but that. The Dogs traveled to Wellman and came home with a 41-0 victory. There was no room in the press box so Bill Schrock and Kent Harshbarger had to stand outside on the bleachers in 30 degree temps broadcasting the game. Tech. difficulties cut off the first couple minutes of this Dogcast.

Mediapolis Football Vs. West Liberty- September 28: Undefeated West Liberty comes to town and leaves with one loss on the season as the dogs stun the Comets 56-21. Kent Harshbarger and Bill Schrock call the game. Note: The game begins at 1:18 into the broadcast.

Mediapolis Football Vs. West Burlington- September 21: It'd be hard to find a more heated rivalry in Class 2A action then the one between the Dogs and Falcons. Mediapolis fans called it Orange Crush Night and decked out in orange at West Burlington. The Dogs score 63 points in the first half and held the Falcons without a score trouncing them 63-0. Bill Schrock and Lee Kerr call the action! Note: The game begins at 2:20 into the broadcast.

Mediapolis Football Vs. Centrall Lee- September 14: Central Lee comes to town to take on the Bulldogs for a great homecoming night! The result is a 42-0 Mepo win! Kent Harshbarger and Bill Schrock all the excitement!

Mediapolis Football Vs. Wapello- Sept. 6: A renewed rivalry! After several years without playing, the Indians and Bulldogs met on the field. Jesse Ertz led the offense aided by another game of great catches by Jordan Wagenbach and a punt return touchdown by Ben Vorwerk. Mepo wins- 48-12. Bill Schrock and Lee Kerr call the action. This Dogcast starts a couple minutes into the program.

Mediapolis Football Vs. Keokuk- Aug. 31: The much anticipated match-up between Class 3A Keokuk and Class 2A Mediapolis wasn't much of a contest. Just off a loss to Ottumwa the previous week, Keokuk brought an offense led by Gabe Vandenberg, brother of Iowa Quarterback James Vandenberg. Up against Kansas State bound Quarterback Jesse Ertz, the Dogs pounded the Chiefs to a 49-14 victory. The Cheifs only scoring came off Mepo's second and third string late in the game. Mediapolis Bulldog Football Vs. Lone Tree-Aug. 24: The Second Ranked Dogs Go Into Lone Tree With High Expectations And Prove Themselves In A 44-0 Fashion. QB Jessie Ertz, Fresh Off His Verbal Committment To Kansas State, Goes 13 For 13 For 162 Yards, Rushed For 73 Yards, 1 Rushing TD, Three Passing TD's, And On Defense Ertz Picked Off The Lone Tree QB. Senior Jordand Wagenbach Had Five Catches For 81 Yards. The Victory Seen The Dogs Go 1-0 And Climb From A #2 Ranking To #1 And Help Prepare Them For Their Game Against Gabe Vandenberg And His Keokuk Cheifs. Mediapolis Volleyball At SCC- Sept. 22: It's tournament action at Southeastern Community College! Kim and Renee call the action.

Mediapolis Volleyball Tournament At Waco- Thursday, Sept. 20: Kim Scheitlin and Renee Hunderdosse call the action.

Mediapolis Volleyball Vs. Highland- August 30: The first Volleyball game on the Dogcast. The Bullettes win a big one against Highland. Kim Scheitlin and Renee Hunderdosse call the action.

Playing in their first substate contest since 1983, the boys’ basketball team was defeated by the Mt. Vernon Mustangs in Mt. Pleasant on Saturday, February 25, 60-37. Bill Schrock and Kim Scheitlin call the action.

Bulldogs vs. Van Buren Warriors • Tuesday, February 21- District Final game at Fairfield. The Warriors 10 game winning streak is snapped in this nail biter as the Dogs pull it out 71-63. Bill Schrock and Nate Larson call the action.

Bullettes vs. Bellevue Comets • Friday, February 17- Regional Semi-Final game at Durant. Overcoming a 15-point deficit, the Bullettes gave it their all, but came up short, with the Comets winning 62-56. Bill Schrock and Kim Scheitlin call the action.

Bulldogs Wrestling District at Fairfield Part 1 • Saturday, February 11- (One of our most talked about Dogcasts) It was another good day of wrestling for the Bulldogs at the District Wrestling Meet at Fairfield. With three champions, Steven Holloway, Adam Drain, and Blake Beckman, and three runner-ups, Cole Erickson, Drew Foster, and Drew Buster, qualifying for state, the Bulldogs tied the 1986 team for six wrestlers qualifying. The Bulldogs also had three third place finishers, Cody McNeil, Bradley Conley, and Brady Broders, and Ethan Lamm finished fourth. All those wrestlers contributed to the Bulldogs winning the district championship. Dave Pierson and Brian Borrison call the action in this thriller.

Bulldogs vs. Panthers • Friday, January 27- OUR FIRST EVER DOGCAST! With two teams locked in a first place three-way tie of the north division of boys’ basketball, you would expect a close game between the two. Instead, the Mediapolis Bulldogs looked unstoppable, dominating visiting Pekin 76-49. Dave Van Ness, Bill Schrock and Kim Scheitlin call the action.



Bulldogs vs. Columbus • Tuesday, February 7- The Bulldogs scored as many points in the first quarter as visiting Columbus did the entire game to cruise to a 65-33 win at Mediapolis. Jesse Ertz led all scorers with 12 points, and Jacob Darbyshire and Jordan Wagenbach were also in double figures with eleven points each. Dustin Belknap and Joe Fedoris each pulled down six rebounds, Ertz had 11 assists, six steals, and one block, and Wil Janssen had one block. Karl Burgason and Dave Pierson call the action.



Bullettes vs. Van Buren • Friday, February 2- On paper both #13 Van Buren, the south division champions, and the #5 Bullettes, the north division champions, looked evenly matched for the SEISC Shoot-Out, and on the court it looked the same way. In a game where the lead was exchanged numerous times, the ranked Van Buren Warriors held the lead when it was the most important, the end of the game. In an intense battle that kept most people on the edge of their seats was won by Van Buren 49-44. Dave Pierson and Kim Scheitlin call the action.



2 GAMES- Bullettes and Bulldogs vs. West Burlington • Monday, February 6- 1st Game- Playing in their last regular season game, the Bullettes led by 18 points in the fourth quarter, but West Burlington wasn’t going down that easy. The Falcons went on a 6-0 lead and cut the lead to 12 points. Andrea Larson made a couple of free throws, and Kensley Heater added one to expand Mepo’s lead. West Burlington scored the last five points of the game, but it was a little too late as the Bullettes recorded their 20th victory in the 46-36 contest.2nd Game- Leaving no question in anyone’s mind who the better team on the court was, the Bulldogs went on a 10-0 run to begin action with West Burlington at Mediapolis. Mepo never looked back and went on to an 83-30 time-shortened win. Karl Burgason and Kim Scheitlin call the action.



Bullettes vs. Wapello - First Round Tournament Action • Saturday, February 11-It took three minutes for either team to get on the scoreboard in the regional opener of Mediapolis versus Wapello, but once the Mediapolis Bullettes broke the ice and got on the scoreboard, the Bullettes couldn’t be stopped. Mediapolis beat Wapello 67-35 in the first game of girls’ basketball tournament play at Mediapolis. The action is called by Karl Burgason and Kim Scheitlin.



Bullettes vs. Wilton - Second Round Tournament Action • Tuesday, February 14- The Bullettes advance to third round action after defeating Wilton at home 44-26. Karl Burgason and Kim Scheitlin call the action.
